Qualified Personnel
"The only thing more expensive than education is ignorance.”Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
Our most valuable investment is in our staff.
All of our staff are encouraged to identify and take part in training for personal improvement as well as for the added benefit it that gives to the company. Regular in-house and external training with online assessment is accepted as a part of our company ethos.
Our core business is electrical testing i.e. Fixed Wire Testing (FWT), Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Thermal Imaging; the subsequent remedial work identified during the routine inspection and testing and additional installation work. All of our engineers are Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS formerly CRB) checked in order for them to be able to work in schools, nurseries, care homes and hospitals. They are City & Guilds qualified and undergo regular on-site assessments with NICEIC Qualifying Supervisors to ensure they are both highly trained and up-to-date with the latest electrical safety regulations for both the domestic and commercial environment.

- Quality control both of project scope and budget
All of these aspects and much more contribute and enable CGE to realise the commitment made in our Mission Statement.
‘To offer and deliver outstanding quality installation and electrical compliance testing services to our commercial, industrial, public sector, local authority and domestic clients throughout the UK. Our services are without exception to be provided on time, within budget with an overriding commitment to quality at all times.’
Technical Team
The combination of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (2006), the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 define the legal requirements for electrical compliance testing. The legislation clearly applies to all electrical equipment used in, or associated with, places of work.
Our dedicated technical team are not only highly qualified to City and Guilds standards they are also experienced time-served electricians who understand the importance of the above legislative requirements. In addition to legal compliance many other organisations place an obligation on their clients to carry out periodic electrical testing. These may include:
- Insurance Companies
- Licensing Authorities
- Mortgage Lenders
- Landlords
- Public Bodies
Our personal approach and focus on improving customer service delivery underpins our engineers’ commitment to delivering a tailored electrical testing, repair and maintenance service programme. We are passionate about maintaining our technical and performance standards eliminating the need and expense of securing the services of separate testing and repair contractors. This gives our clients overall cost reduction through consolidation of service without losing the confidence and assurance of knowing that their systems are safe and compliant.
