Electric Vehicle Users?
£350 government grants available per chargepoint installation!
The growth in electric vehicle usage requires an increase in the number of chargepoints available for both domestic and commercial use. The government is keen to encourage electric car owners to install chargepoints at home and at the work place.
CGE is an OZEV approved installer for both of the Government’s incentive schemes The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS).

The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)
Support Throughout The Application Process
The EVHS is a government funded grant scheme to support the roll-out of home charging equipment for plug-in vehicles at domestic properties. It provides a 75% contribution to the cost of one charge point and its installation up to £350 (inc. VAT).
To Qualify you must
- Own, lease or have ordered a qualifying vehicle
- Have dedicated off-street parking
How does it work?
- The applicant chooses an approved EVHS installer to install the chargepoint
- The installer checks that the applicant qualifies and applies on the customer’s behalf
- The installer invoices the customer for the installation, less the amount of grant money applied for
- OZEV pays the installer the grant funds direct
Give us a call and we will help you to claim the HomeCharge Grant – if you have 2 qualifying vehicles you may be eligible to apply for two chargepoints at the same property.
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
The WCS is a voucher based scheme for businesses to apply for financial support to purchase and install electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints. The 75% contribution to purchase and installation costs is limited to £350 per socket up to a maximum of 40 chargepoints, that’s £14,000 across all sites for each applicant.
It is available to any business, charity or public authority, with some conditions.
How does it work?
- The applicant applies on-line : Apply Here
- Within 5 working days the applicant, if eligible, will be emailed a unique voucher code
- The voucher code is given to the chosen authorised installer
- The voucher code is valid for 180 days
- The installer invoices the customer for the installation, less the amount of the voucher value
- The installer will claim the grant when the chargepoint(s) have been installed
